The Olivers recommended Burgundy, which has since been an inextricable part of Jane's life. \u003cem\u003e“I fell in love with France, and Burgundy is just what I wanted to make.”\u003c\/em\u003e After working vintages at Cullen in Margaret River, and Felton Road and Ata Rangi in New Zealand, she came to Burgundy in 2004 for a job with Domaine des Comtes Lafon. She then took over as assistant winemaker at Domaine Newman, and has slowly developed her own négociant business, renting a small space in a winery in Bligny-lès-Beaune with Dominique Lafon. She is achieving impressive results with Pinot Noir using a minimal intervention approach to winemaking and allowing her wines to express a true sense of place.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn the 2021 edition of Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France, Jane Eyre was awarded two stars, one of only 26 producers in the whole of France to be recognised at this level.
