Produced from Vinha do Charlot, a Boal vineyard located in Calheta, in the area of Jardim Pelado to the South of the island, which is quite dry and hot for most of the year. The grapes were pressed without destemming in a horizontal screw press. After 7 days of fermentation without temperature control, the wine was fortified while in a medium dry state, before being transferred to an old French 750-litre oak cask. Aging took place in warehouses D and E, with the first warehouse characterized by higher average temperatures throughout the year, and the second with high temperatures in the summer and very cold temperatures in the winter.

In July 2023, a total of 1,300 units were bottled, each individually numbered.

This wine was naturally aged in cask and bottled in its purest state. To show it at its best, serve between 13/14ºC. This wine was filtered and does not require decanting, and it will drink well for several months, if not years, after opening – Madeira is almost indestructible!

Bright golden colour. Fresh and mentholated aromas, orange blossom, apricot, toasted nuts, with a backdrop of sea breeze. Full-bodied, balanced, caramelized flavours blending with a rich and crisp acidity. Persistent, extremely fine, with a slightly spicy and beautifully dry finish.
