Michel Chapoutier’s 2020s are potentially the finest wines he has ever made. Famous for their enviable range of northern Rhone, in particular Hermitage, Maison Michel Chapoutier is one of the region’s most prestigious producers, creating sumptuous wines every year. Having practised biodynamics since 1991, the wines go from strength to strength and the 2020s have received huge scores from Jeb Dunnuck with no less than four perfect 100-point scores.
 
Dunnuck says of the vintage, “As I wrote last year, 2020 is an exceptional vintage for the Northern Rhône. The wines are powerful and concentrated yet hold onto a wonderful sense of purity and freshness. Quality is incredibly high across all the appellations, and 2020 is a worthy cap to the sensational run of vintages from the Northern Rhône starting in 2015.”
