Malvasia tends to produce wines with a little more sugar and sweetness with riper, richer fruits.  This single cask comes from Sao Jorge in the north which is a wilder coastline, bringing more freshness and acidity to the wines.

This wine was vinified in a horizontal screw press and fortified in a medium sweet state. It began aging in warehouse D, with high temperatures, where it quickly gained concentration. In 2019, the cask was transferred to warehouse E, which, being cooler,  allowed for a slower and more balanced evolution of the wine enhancing the link between acidity and sugar.

In May 2025, 966 500ml units and 60 double magnums were bottled, all numbered.

This wine was naturally aged in cask and bottled in its purest state. To show it at its best, serve between 13/14ºC. This wine was filtered and does not require decanting, and it will drink well for several months, if not years, after opening – Madeira is almost indestructible!

Golden colour. Delicate on the nose with sweet aromas, hints of honey, candied fruit, orange peel, floral notes, apricot, and a touch of stem. Powerful on the palate, with yellow fruit jam and a nearly spicy acidity that delivers a long and persistent freshness. A very well-balanced wine with a honeyed and flavourful finish.
